摘要
文章在分析H.263 TMN5视频编码器的码率控制策略及其在甚低码率下性能特性的基础上,提出了一种基于人类视觉特性的码率控制策略。该控制策略采用一个视觉量化矩阵对DCT系数进行加权处理,以减少DCT系数在视觉特性上的编码失真。模拟实验结果表明该控制策略可以全面提高图像的PSNR值,更重要的是极大地减少了块效应。
This paper provides an analysis of the bit rate control scheme and the performance of H. 263 TMN5 Video Coder when operating at very low bit rates. Then a bit rate control scheme based on the human visual system(HVS) is presented. This control scheme proposes a visual quantization matrix to weight the discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficients in order to reduce the coding distortion on the visual perceptibility. Simulation results showed that this proposed method increases the peak signal - to - noise ratio (PSNR) values at all bit rates tested, but more importantly, the 'blocking'effects are greatly reduced.
