: Based on the relationship between intelligence economy and higher education, this article deals with the function of education in the era of intelligence economy and points out that mental labor will be peoples' means of living in the future society. Proposals are put forward for the reform of the training model, the curriculum contents and the teaching method in connection with the actuality of colleges and universities. In a word, requirements of the specification of qualified personnel are to be met in every aspect.
