FOR a long time the mostrenowned teahouse in Beijing was theLaoshe Teahouse, which still keeps thetraditional characteristics of theteahouses of old Beijing; bustlingplaces where people sample tea madein special teacups with lids andsaucers, enjoying Peking opera orstorytelling. Many famous foreignershave joined the great tradition and satdown to enjoy a taste of old Beijing ina teahouse whilst on their visits to thecity.
