IT was Liu Hongyan’s bright eyes and slim figure that initially caught the eye of Liu Yuheng, the coach of Sangzhi Sports School shooting team, when she was in middle school. There were other indications that she would make a good marksman, such as her quiet character—even the neatness of her penmanship. After making persuasive overtures to Hongyan’s school and family, coach Liu Yuheng brought Hongyan to train at the Sangzhi Sports School.
