IN ancient times, Longxian (Longzhou) County of Shaanxi Province was a stop on the Silk Road. Now the area is known for its rich history and colorful countryside culture. The traditional embroidery art of Longxian women has enjoyed thousands of years of fame for its simplicity and straightforward depiction of traditional lifestyles and local customs.
