A FIRM FIGHTER AGAINST AGGRESSION AND CLEAR-HEADED THINKER: COMMENTS ON ZHANG XIAOXIANG'S POLITICAL QUALITIES

文章主要采用实证研究的方法，从张孝祥生平行迹的考索、作品系年的考论入手，驳议了《宋史·张孝祥传》“出入二相之门而两持其说”的论断，论定张孝祥是一位坚定的抗战者，清醒的思想者。

Through employing the method of experimental research, investigating Zhang Xiaoxiang's life and conducts, and commenting from the periods of his writing, this paper refutes the assertion of 'double-faced behaviour' in The Biography of Zhang Xiaoxiang·The History of the Song Dynasty and holds that Zhang Xiaoxiang is a firm fighter against aggression and clear-headed thinker.
