以《九歌·山鬼》中描述为内证，以历代文献及当代报刊中有关“野人”的叙述为外证，并联系相关的论述，最后得出结论：山鬼的原型为野人，后被附丽于巫山神女，屈原的笔下融入了爱情的内容，故成了动人的少女形象．

Using the description in 'Nine Songs· Hymn on the Mountain Sprite'as internal evidence,the reports of 'the savages' in contemporary newspapers and magazines as external evidence,combiningsome relevant discussion. this paper draws the conclusion that the original mountain sprito was a savage,then attached to the Goddess on Wushan Mountain; later, Qu Yuan fused love into her, thus,'Mountain Sprite' has become a moving girl image.
