甲:近年来,名之曰“新”曰“前卫”曰“先锋”之作甚多,其中一些晦涩难解,高深玄妙,可使观众如堕五里雾中.不知有没有简便适用的艺术评价标准,能使我们处变不惊,从容应对?乙:现今的艺术评价活动都是以己度人,哪有通用的标准?官方展览会、商业拍卖行、私人收藏者、职业批评家、学院教师爷各有眼光.你我这样的普通观众,凭感觉判断就是了,不必求什么标准.甲:没有标准怎么判断?出售商品要有质量检验,打官司要有法律依据,艺术价值的衡量也不能完全无序。

A wrong trend is criticized seriously in this article that some artists and artistical reviewers overlooked the culture tranditional of China and meanwhile followed and modelled blindly on west modern arts, cutting themselves off from the needs of appreciation by the public during recent years. The author states that we should advocate diversity so as to combat the mood of 'autocracy culture' and to concern the small and weak groups, and we must adhere to the principles of creative spirit and stress on the difficulty of artistry, combating the substitution of idea for visual sense of aesthetic feelings, combating indulged in self-admiration in arts, s'nce the ordinary labourers have aesthetic judgment and jurisdiction in our country.
