INTRODUCING A CALLBACK INTO CLIENT/SERVER COMPUTING

本文从协同计算出发引出回调机制．在综述其普遍应用的基础上进一步论述Ｃｌｉｅｎｔ／Ｓｅｒｖｅｒ计算中回调机制的引入，着重讨论远程过程调用提供的封闭式回调机制与Ｃｌｉｅｎｔ／Ｓｅｒｖｅｒ计算所要求的开放式回调之间的语义差距．

Based on the concept of cooperative computing, a callback is introduced. After a survey of its wide uses, the introduction of the callback into client/server computing is further discussed, with emphasis on the semantic inconsistency between callbacks provided by RPC and those required by client/server computing.
