首先从理论与实践的角度阐述了物理实验教学的作用和意义，进而论述培养现有中学物理教师和在校高师物理系学生设计、制作物理教具、仪器能力之必要性和紧迫性。并介绍了我们的改革实践和所取得的成果以及良好的社会评价和推广意义。

The essay firstly expounds the importance of conducting experiments in teaching physics from the aspects of both theory and practice. Secondly it discusses the urgency of developing the ability of present middle school physics teachers and that of the undergraduates of physics in designing and making teaching tools or demonstrative instruments for physics classes. Finally the authors introduce the reform practices in physics teaching and the achievements they have made. Favorable social evaluations of the reform as well as the significance of spreading the advanced experience are also expressed in the paper.
