On Sima Qian's Subjective Conciousness of Using Folklore Zhang Zongqi

Abstract Sima Qian makes good use of folktales in his worksRecords of the Historian,which is closely connected with his subjective conciouness.Sima Qian absorbs what he considers reasonable from the various school thought during the period of Pre-Qin times, accepts Dong Zhongshu’s theology idealism in Han Dynasty, and forms his own phylosophy view. This is one part of his subjective conciouness, the other is his progressive historical view.
