Chongqing is a foggy city. In the foggy season,planes have trouble taking off and landing in the city. In the past decades, aviation has developed considerably.Chongqing kept on looking for an ideal site for an airport that would match with the development.In 1990 the new airport of Chongqing was constructed in Jiangbei to meet the needs of reforms and opening, and improve the foreign investment environment.The author dwells on the present condi-tions of the airport and its future development.
