Zhang Mingsheng, founder of colourful clay sculpture, (1826-1906), was dexterous in modelling clay figurines. He could produce a vivid and lively figurine by the feeling of his fingers hidden in the sleeve while leisurely chatting with other people. Hence was known as "clay sculptor Zhang." Zhang Yuting, his son, inherited his father’s skills, and expanded the scope of modelling objects, and developed the ways of expression of the art. His works
