摘要 The support and respect for the elderly have been re garded as traditional virtues of the Chinese people since the ancient times.In October 1996.the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Rights and Interests of the Aged Population was promulgated.It stipulates that old folks should be supported and cared mainly by ther famihes.
