A Survey on the Serum Immunoglobulin Concentration of Healthy Children in Guangzhou

广州市14岁以下儿童血清Ig含量的正常值没见报道，我们用免疫透射比浊法检测了733例1～14岁健康小儿血清Ig含量。并与152例15～18岁健康青年作成人比较。结果发现：血清IgG在12岁以前不同年龄组有显著差异，随年龄增长而增高，P＜0．01，12岁以后达成人水平。IgA在不同年龄组有显著差异，随年龄增长而增高，P＜0．01。IgM则1岁后已达成人水平。IgG、IgA男女间无显著差异，P＞0．05。IgM男女间有显著差异，且均为女高于男，P＜0．01。鉴于小儿血清Ig含量正常值在不同地区、不同种族都有差异。因此，在评价小儿血清中Ig的含量时，要注意与当地不同年龄组正常人群血清中Ig含量比较。

There was no report of serum Ig normal value of children under 14-years of age in Guangzhou. We measured the serum immunoglobulin (Ig) concentration of 773 healthy children of 1 -14 years old with Immunonephel ometry; the serum Ig level of 152 healthy adolescent of 15-18 years old as adult leve served as control. The asults showed that in children before 12-years of age, the difference of serum IgG concentration between various age groups was significant, (P<0.001); the serum IgG level increased with age and reached adult level after 12-years of age. The difference of IgA level between various age groups was also significant, (P<0.001), and the level increased with age. The serum concentiation of IgM, however, reached adult level early after I year of age. The difference of IgA and IgG level between boys and girls was not significant, (P>0.05). However, the difference of IgM level between boys and girls was significant, (P<0.01), and the level in girls was higher than that in boys. Since the normal value of serum Ig in children between different regions and different ethnic groups were different, we suggested that one shoud compare the serum Ig concentration you measured with that of normal population in various age groups in your local region when you evaluated the serum Ig level in Children.
