摘要
本文阐述中国近代高等教育的产生是社会发展需要的牵动，分析传统势力的阻挠和论述其发展的迟缓性和进步性。
This paper attributes the birth of modern Chinese higher education to the necessity of social development and analyzes its progressiveness while ascribes its slow progress to obstruction from traditional forces.
