素质教育是现代社会的要求，它的提出是当前我国教育观念的重要更新。实施素质教育应从基础教育抓起，培养现代人的整体素质，突出创造性与个性化，同时加强学校教育、社会教育和家庭教育的优化与相互配合。

Quality education is a requirement of modern higher education. The call for quality education is indeed an important manifestation of the necessity for an upgrading of the present-day Chinese pedagogical idea. The author of this article is of opinion that quality education should be stressed from the very beginning of primary education so as to train our students in the spirit of overall quality necessary for their generation by Striking out their originality and personality and at the same time by optimizing and coordinating school education, social education and family education.
