在所有事情都将被电脑代替的时代,董重却始终坚持架上绘画这种艰辛的手工劳作,这本身就具有某种行为意义。而其表达的内容是如此艰深晦涩,毫不悦人耳目。猩热的镉红、俗艳的天蓝那样张扬和肆虐,炫耀着青春的一种极致和紧迫。从早期童话般的昆虫世界到后来象征某种反抗意识的怪物图形,直到现在符号一样干瘪的人物图式。
Dong Chong, born in 1969, is now tutoring at the Guiyang Children's Palace. In 1990 he went to Seatlle for his individual exhibition of oil paintings; in 1992 he held his individual oil paintings gallery in the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. In October 1994, his untitled painting was exhibited at the 8th National Gallery of Fine Arts. Pu Ling, born in 1968, is now teaching at Guizhou College of Fine Arts. In 1992 he went to Shanghai Art Gallery for Four Painter's Works Exhibition and his Charming Spring was collected by Shanghai Art Gallery. His works or essays appear in joumals auch as China Oil Painting, Art Research, Jiangsu Pictorial, Contemporary Academic Arts.
