This article reported the results of experimental study on treatment orfulminant hepatic failure (FHF) rats using encapsulated hepatocytes. Rats withgalactosamine induced FHF were treated with encapsulated hepatocytes and resultsshowed improvement in survival rate with Prolongation or survival time,amelioration of liver function and avoidance of host-vs. grart reaction. This model suggested a new way of treating FHF in clinical medicine.
