摘要
The CAS Institute of Mechanics is a multi-disci-plinary research institution, with applied mechanics as its main body. In this respect, it has achieved great success in basic research, development research and hi-tech production work, which are considered as three mainstay fields, because the institute sticks to the line of "taking national economic development as the goal, high-level research and advanced scientific and technical achievements as the target." In recent years, the general planning of the research and development work at the Institute of Mechanics has focused on the goal of promoting economic and social development in China.
