摘要
The Center of Wetland Research is housed by the Changchun Institute of Geography of the CAS. Its research orientations include the ecosystem structure of wetlands,their ecological processes,environmental effects,cataloging and dynamic changes in natural endowment,the assessment of the ecological ambience of representative or distinctive wetlands,countermeasures for the protection of biodiversity,the classification system of wetlands,related evolutionary patterns,and biomass productivity.The aim of the center is to accomplish high-level results in basic research and applied research in wetland research so as to serve eco-environmental protection and socio-economic development in a steady and sustained way. The main research tasks of the center is,by uniting all academics engaged in wetland research in the Academy,to host investigative surveys of and application for key R&D topics in the field, organize theoretical probes into the disciolinarv basics,establish China’s own scientific system and databases
