摘要
The coherence length of a laser diode (LD) beam can be reduced by modulating the source with a high frequency signal, which is superposed on the driving current for the LD. Experiments are made with a 980nm laser diode. It is shown that the side peaks in coherence function can be reduced several times, but it is hard to suppress them completely .
