摘要
运用比较方法论的基本原理，选取汉语和英语词汇在发展过程中所呈现出的最显著的特点进行对比分析，从而证明：词汇系统发展的过程，是词汇系统自组织的过程。词汇的发展，一方面是词汇系统以外的各种因素和环境通过词汇系统的结构自身的改变而发生作用的结果；另一方面．是词汇系统内部各种要素的相互作用和影响的产物。
The article applies the basic rules of the comparative methodology to the comparative analysis of the most distinctive features appearing in the developing process of Chinese and English vocabularies. It turns out that the progressive process of word system is a selforganization process of its own. The development of vocabulary, on the one hand, is a result of various elements and environments exterior to the word system, which undertake aself-alteration within the construction of the word system, and on the other hand, is a fruit of interaction and reciprocal influence among the interior elements of the word system.
