当我们冒着炎炎烈日,来到撤县建市才一年多的巴中,映入眼帘的是一派热气腾腾、全民动手办交通的景象。市交通局年轻能干的赖局长深有感触地对我们说:过去,闭塞的巴中真是吃够了交通落后的苦,交通不畅就跟血管栓塞和肠梗阻一样。因此,在地委行署“狠抓基础”的经济发展战略的指导下,市委市府把交通建设摆到经济建设的首位,作为“急中之急、重中之重”的头等大事来抓。去年初,召开了全市公路建设誓师动员大会,市长熊光林两次发表公路建设电视讲话,全市人民闻风而动。
