ama Yao Autonomous County in Northwestern Guangxi is known as the wirld's 'land of longevity' because out of its population of less than 250,000 there are over 60 centenarians. Journalists and medical experts from the U.S., Canada, Britain and Japan have gathered here to explore the mystery of Bama people's long life span. Bama people live in a very impressive social and natural environment. The altitude here is 450 to 500 meters and it is free of industrial contaminations.The people indulge in hard work and coarse food grains.
