Consecutive detections on CAb,CAg and CIC levels of sera were carried out from 2 to 18 weeks after rabbits exposed to Schistosoma japonicum infection. Rabbits were divided into four groups and each group was infected with 10 or 50,unisexual or bisexual cercariae respectively. The experimental results revealed that CAg appeared in the early period of infection and CAb reached to a peak in the middle period, whereas CIC still remained at a higher level in the late period of infection. The CAg,CAb and CIC levels in different periods after infection with schistosomiasis were closely related to intensity of infection and whether the infec-tion was unisexual or bisexual. The result of this study had clarified the dynamic changes of CAg,CAb and CIC levels in hosts infected with Schistosoma japonicum, and also provided an experimental evidence for the detection of immune phenomena by using a suitable detection method in different periods of Schistosoma japonicum infection.
