摘要 A new natural polymeric catalyst, silica-supported carboxymethyl cellulose platinum complex (abbr. as SiO2-CMC-Pt) has been found to catalyze the hydrogenation of ethyl benzoate to ethyl cyclohexanecarboxylate in about 100% yield at 60-70℃ and 1 atm of hydrogen pressure. The turnover number could amount to 925when reacted for 42 h without deactivation of the catalyst.
