摘要 Eight dialkyl tetrabromophthalates (DATBPs) were synthesized by reacting tetrabromophthalic anhydride with excess alcohols which were used not only as a reactant but also as a solvent and using a quaternary ammonium salt as a phase transfer catalyst (PTC). The yields were found to be between 85-93%. Their structures were characterized by IR, NMR and elementary analysis. The flame retardant properties of the compounds were also studied.
