唐山,这座历史悠久的工业重镇,曾经由于那场举世震惊的灾难而受到全世界的关注。岁月沧桑,斗转星移。经过勤劳智能的唐山人民十几年的建设,如今这座从废墟中建立起来的城市又重放异彩,更胜往日之繁华。但由于水资源匮乏与连年超采,地下水位逐年下降,一度给唐山市工业生产和人民生活带来严重影响。1989年引滦入唐供水一期工程投产后极大地缓解了唐山市供水供需矛盾。然而,随着城市建成区的不断扩大,现有城市供水能力将不能满足用水增长需要。那幺,未雨绸缪提前谋划建设新的供水工程的迫切任务,就摆在了唐山市自来水公司面前。唐山市自来水公司是一个具有44年供水历史的大型城市供水企业。
Tangshan Municipal Running Water Corporation is a large-sized urban water supply enterprise with a history of 44 years for water supply. At present,its daily comprehensive productive capacity amounts to 512,000 cubic metres.It has original value of fixed assets of 212.4 million yuan and has 5 underground water plants.The popularity rate of water supply in urban areas keeps 100 per- cent for years.It is one of the top 40 large-sized urban water supply en- terprises in our country approved by six departments and commissions under State Council for the first time.For its strong power,the cor- poration was among the top 50 strongest enterprises in the same trade in our country and top 100 largest urban water supply enterpris- es in our country,The corporation raised funds by itself to construct the second stage water supply project of putting the water from Luan River in- to Tangshan and the extension pro- ject of water source in the western part of Tangshan so as to provide successful experience to the self- development of the public utilities in Tangshan.
