Yunnan Province Manwan Power Plant is under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province Electric Power Industry Bureau which undertakes the important task of ensuring the safety,stable and economical operation of the operational u- nits in the Manwan Power Station.It is one of the backbone power plants for the electric network in Yunnan.Manwan Electric Power Station is the major construction project of the 7th'Five-Year plan'in the country and the major construction works in Yunnan province and also the first stage works for the development of water conservancy resources in Lanchangjiang River,It start- ed construction in 1986 and was put into operation for power generation in 1993.The installed capactity of the power station is 6×250MW.Now it ranked into the group of 100MW level hydroelectric station in our country.By the end of the previous year,Manwan power plant founded on May 12,1993 accumulated to generate power of 4306.739 million KWH and realized the continuous safety operation of 547 days without inspection accidents.
