The mathematical model describing the Ostwald coarsening of the second phase particle in decreasing temperature process (the volume fraction of the second phase changes) have been put forward, and calculations have been carried out for the liquid-liquid phase transformation of Zn-Pb alloy. It was found that this model is in good accordance with LSW theory when the cooling rate is zero. With the increase of the cooling rate, the critical particle size decreases, and the coarsening rate of particle increases.
