摘要 Small Ti plates were hydrided at 360°C in purified H2 gas under the pressure of 0.1-0.2 MPa and then slowly cooled to room temperature. The atomic ratio (x=H/Ti) thus obtained varied from 0.1 to 0.2. XRD, metallography and TEM were made to analyse the microstructure. A metastable gamma-phase of body -centered tetragonal structure with lattice parameter a=0.312 nm and c=0.418 nm has been found in the composition range of 0.1<x<1.9. gamma is mixed with alpha (hcp) for lower x and with delta for higher x, replacing delta forming a metastable eutectoid microstructure at x=0.7.
