摘要
CONSTRUCTION OF the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River will benefit society by adding to China's capac-ity for water conservation,hydro-power and navigation.Unfortunate~ly,it will also leave 22 cities and counties inundated,as a total land-mass of 632 square kilometers goes underwater.
