The Lattice Distortion of α-Fe(Si) Nanophase

摘要 Nanocrystalline alloys are usually referred to as single-or multi-phasepolycrystalline alloys with grain sizes in the range of 1-100 nm. These materials canbe thought of as two parts:nanocrystallites and interfaces. Gleiter et al.claimedthat the interfaces of a nanocrystalline material are gas-like, showing neither long-norshort-range order. Up to now, the interfacial structure of nanocrystalline materialshas been extensively investigated, and many properties of these materials are main-ly related to the interfacial structure as well as the volume percentage of interfaces.However, Thomas et al. failed to observe the gas-like interfacial structure as claimedby Gleiter et al. by using a high resolution electron microscope.
