In fact,everywhere I went in Zhuhai-municipal and district or-ganizations,factories,high-tech re-search institutes and enterprises-I noticed that the staff consisted most-ly of young people.Many of them had master's degrees or doctorates,and they seemed to get great satis-faction out of their work.This is quite different from college grad-uates in inland areas,who often complain about the fact that their talents are going to waste.Salaries in Zhuhai are higher than those in in-land areas,but the young people are certainly getting more out of life here than just a good wage.And yet,despite the fact that they have re-ceived more formal education than either Mayor Liang Guangda or Di-rector Zhong they still look upon the two leaders as their role models.
