摘要
More than 600 police constables,including 15 women,have gone on the streets to enforce law and order in the Chongwen and Haidian districts of Beijing.Their duties,as defined by the Public Security Bureau,are to observe and maintain public security along the streets and public squares,to attend to the needs of the people,and to deal with on-the-spot violations of the law.The officers have gone through eight months of training to cope with emergenctes.
