摘要 An implicit scheme discretized by the finite element method is developed for the numerical solution of the time-dependent head/disk dynamics. The scheme is second-order timeaccurate, which offers the flexibility of employing time steps compatible with the system dynamics while minimizing the numerical instability presented in most explicit methods. Good agreement is orreryed between the present calculations and D. K. Miu's work.
