就《“古音通假”商兑》谈两个问题

On Two Points which Arise from the Paper "Discussion of Phonetic Loan and Interchangeable Ancient Chinese Characters

马玉山同志在《“古音通假”商兑》一文中谈到:从时代上区分“借”与“别”,“盘桓”是后起字“徘徊”的借字。本文认为通假是得到社会公认的约定俗成的社会现象与别字无关。并以此与马文商榷,同时也谈了连绵字的借字和别字的问题。

In Ma Yushan' s paper 'Discussion of Phonetic Loan and Interchangeable Ancient Chinese Characters' ,an idea is put forward that phonetic loan characters and wrongly written or mispronounced characters should be distinguished according to historical epochs ,so'盘桓' and the,later characters '徘徊'have the relation of phonetic loan. In this paper,phonetic loan and interchangeable characters are considered as a social phenomenon accepted through common practice, which has nothing to do with wrongly written or mispronounced characters. L:ian-mian-ci(Chinese words consisting of two characters,often alliterated or rhymed) is also discussed.
