摘要 TheActionMechanismofPhaseTransferCatalystintheOxidationofToluenebyMn^(3+)in40%H_2SO_4¥(胡万里)(周定)HUWanli;ZHOUDing(Dept.ofApplied?.. The paper has investigated the action mechanism of phase transfer catalyst(PTC) in the oxidation of toluene by Mn ̄3+ in 40% H-2SO-4.The results have indicated that PTC has no effect on the reaction order of Mn ̄3+ and has changed the reaction mechanism of the oxidation of toluene by Mn ̄3+.The activation energy of the reaction with PTC is a little larger than that without PTC,which is a disadvantage for the reaction.But the frequency factor of the reaction with PTC is much higher than that without PTC.Thus,the reaction rate with PTC has much increased.
