Chinese Medical Journal (CMJ) is publishedmonthly by the Chinese Medical Association and dis-tributed internationally. Manuscripts are welcomefrom any part of the world and should be sent tothe Editorial Office, Chinese Medical Journal,Chinese Medical Association, 42 Dongsi Xidajie,Beijing 100710, China.Manuscripts are received with the under-standing that they have not previously been pub-lished in English and are not under simultaneousconsideration by other publications.Two copies are required and must be typeddouble-spaced on 21 x 29 cm white paper with mar-gins of at least 2.5 cm. Each copy should include ti-tle page, abstract, text, tables and figures, acknow-ledgement, and references. Generally, an originaltypescript should not exceed 4000 words.
