The mechanism of activity of a flux-during aluminium brazing has been discussed. A model electrolysis experiment by Hg drop in Cu(NO3)2 0. 01M water solution was carried out for simulating the fused filler metal in molten flux. The results deduce that the higher precipitation rate of heavy metal ions on Al base, the higher activity will have. The details of molten precipitates Zn and Cd on Al base have been shown photographically as well.
