Nimatsering,a well-known Tibetan painter

尼玛泽仁,男,1944年生于四川巴塘,1962年毕业于四川美术学院民族班,现为十世班禅亲赐的班禅画师、中国美术家协会会员、中国藏经佛教传统绘画研究员、甘孜藏画研究院副院长。

Born in 1944 in Batang,Sichuan Province, and graduated in 1962 from Sichuan In- stiute of Fine Arts,nimatsering is now the Baingen master of painting,a title conferred by the tenth Baingen Lama himself,and is member of the Chinese Accociation of Fine Arts,re- search fellow of the art of painting of Chinese Tibetan Buddhism and vice-director of Ganzi Research Instiue of the Art of Tibetan Painting. For a long period of fime,Nimatsering has devoted himself to the study of Tibetan history, society and culture.While inheriting the long. standing tradition of the art of Tibetan painting, he has blazed new trails and brought forth new ideas and freshness to the traditional art of Tibetan painting,and has in simple,honest and yet profound ways expressed the longings and aspirations of the Tibetan people living in the snow-covered sacred places.For many times, his works were put on display in important national and international art exhibitions.His Lingesar,Auspiciousness(co-operated),Bounds of Heaven and some other master-pieces have won the National Gold,Silver,and Excellent Prizes in China and his Snow-covered place.Out of the High Mountain and Rebirth of the Ancient.Art have won Provincial Gold Prizes in Sichuan and have been published in pictorials and painting albums of both national and provincial importance.many of his works have been collected by museums and collectors both at home and abroad,and he has been listed in Dictionary of Chinese Artists,who’s who of Chinese minority peoples,by which he is highly praised for his excellent works.Also,he has been listed by International Biographical Centre Cambridge,UK,and American Biographical Institute in who’s who in the World and The First Five Hundred and has been awarded a Gold Gilt Commemorative medal.
