一类新的刚性棒状液晶化合物的合成

SYNTHESIS OF A KIND OF RIGID ROD LIKE LIQUID CRYSTAL COMPOUNDS

本文首次合成了一系列含有三个苯环通过酯键相联的刚性棒状液晶化合物,通过元素分析、NMR和MS等手段对其结构进行了表征,采用DSC和偏光显微镜方法研究了它们的液晶行为,发现所有的刚性棒状液晶化合物均为向列型热致性液晶。

In this paper, a new series of liquid crystal compounds containing three benzene rings linked with ester bond was synthesized for the first time. The structure of these compounds were characterized by NMR spectroscopy, MS measurement and elemental analysis. The liquid crys talline behavior of the compounds was studied by DSC and polarized optical microscope. It was found that all the compounds were nematic thermotropic liquid crystalline.
