Effects of the Water Extract of Pilose Antler on some Biochemical Indicators Related to Aging in Old Mice

摘要 本文观察了鹿茸水提物(0.5~1.0g/kg)对老年小鼠(24月龄)及青年小鼠(1月龄)某些衰老指标的影响。结果表明鹿茸水提取物可明显降低血清中胆固醇、甘油三酯含量;增加脑和肝蛋白质含量;降低脑和肝MDA含量;增强脑和肝SOD活性;抑制脑和肝MAO-B活性;增加脑内5-HT、NE和DA含量。鹿茸水提物对老年小鼠上述指标的影响较青年小鼠更明显,提示鹿茸对老年小鼠具有抗衰老作用。 Several biochemical indicators related to aging were evaluted after the water extract of pilose antler had been administrated orally for 10 successive days to old(24 months) and young (1 mooth) mice. It was found that the extract of pilose ant-let could significantly( 1 ) decrease the contents of serum cholesterol and triglycerides; ( 2 ) increase the synthesis of proteins in liver and brain; ( 3 ) decrease the contents of malondialdehyde in liver and brain; ( 4 ) enhance the superoxide dismutase activity in liver and brain; ( 5 ) inhibit the activity of monoamine oxidase B in liver and brain; and ( 6 ) increase the contents of monoamines in brain. Most of these effects were selectively observied in old mice as compared with young mice. These results suggest that pilose antler may exert an anti-aging action.
