吴熊光曾身居军机要职,深受乾隆帝赏识。此人身怀整顿“吏治民生”、重振“世道人心”之志,并敢于直言劝阻嘉庆帝南巡,最后竟被革职,发配伊犁。
Wu Xiongguang had held the important post of grand councillor and was in emperor Qianlong's good graces.He cherished lofty aspiration of “running the country well and giving the people peace and security” and dared to dissuade the emperor Jiaqing from making inspection tour to the south without mincing words.As a result of this.Wu was removed from his office and was banished to Ili,a frontier town in western Xinjiang (Sinkiang).
