摘要 In a continuous effort to pursue the generality on the relationship between photoreaction mechanism and molecular orbital overlap of ground chromophores, a molecule of particular interest is 3-methyl-3-biphenylyl-1-butene, 1, due to the presence of excitation energy gap of 74 kcal/mol, which might make the MO overlap channel of chromophores more efficient.
