GENERATION AND QUANTITATIVE ASSESSMENT OF BIOGENIC GAS IN THE LIAOHE BASIN

Biogenic carbonate can be used as the marks of the generation of biogenic gas because of the close relationship between the generation of the gas and diagenesis of mudstone. The calculation of generation of biogenic gas suggested here is based on the fundamentals of material equilibrium, and it has been used for inferring the generating peaks of biogenic gas in the Liaohe Basin.
