摘要美国西部文学是最具美国特色的通俗文学。它以19世纪美国开发西部为背景,把善与恶的冲突作为故事的主要线索,描写在“天高皇帝远”的边疆地区牛仔式英雄“替天行道”,与匪徒格斗、追杀、保护受欺凌的弱者。
