作者通过多年来对河南省天然草场的调查,研究了气候、地形、土壤等生态因子对河南天然草场植被的影响及其分布规律。为正确认识天然草场资源的生态条件以及形成、存在和发展的规律,从生态学观点出发,运用科学的手段加以改良、开发和合理利用,提供了科学依据。同时,由于河南地跨亚热带和暖温带,南北植物交汇,因此该文对南方和北方草场都有参考价值。

with the investigation of natural lawn in Heinan Province for years,the author has studied the effect of ecologic factors,climate,topogr- aphy,soil etc,on vegetation of natural lawn and its distribution regularity. based on the general situation of Heinan.This report helps us to have correct understanding of ecologic conditions of natural lawn and the regularity of its forming,existence and development.It also provides the scientific evidence for us to improve,exploit and make good use of resources with scientific methods in the view of ecology.Moreover,since both subtropics and temperate zone spread across He'nan province,amd there grow not only southern but also northern plants,this report has a value for reference on both southern and northern lawn.
