Icame to Beijing two years agoana six months later joined theopera sclool.I am now on aBritish Council exchange-programscholarship and hope to study Pe-king opera for another year and ahalf.I first came into contact withPeking opera when I was studyingmime in Paris in 1989 and chancedon a performance by a famousxiaosheng actor who was in France ontour.That kind of happening wasquite rare in Europe at the time.
